Prof. Marian Gorecki, Ph.D.

Dr. Gorecki, a 30-year veteran of the biotechnology industry, was formerly the Chief Technical Officer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Bio-Technology General, as well as co-founder and CEO of Mediwound Ltd, both of which are located in Israel. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he later served as a Senior Scientist and Associate Professor. Previously, Dr. Gorecki was a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At present, Dr. Gorecki serves as the Director of Scigen and Prolor, and as a consultant to Clal Biotech Industries.

Mr. Ofer Gonen

Mr. Gonen is in charge of business development of CBI's portfolio companies, working closely with co-investors and strategic partners. Mr. Gonen also serves as board member at Andromeda, CureTech, MediWound, Polyheal, Braintact, Avraham, Campus Bio, and CLS.

Dr. Anat Kerem-Angel, Ph.D.

Dr. Anat Kerem-Angel is the Scientific Associate at Ofer Hitech and has spent 6 years at its incubator Naiot Venture Accelerator. Co-leading the incubator’s healthcare screening process and working closely with Naiot's healthcare portfolio companies, Anat was actively involved in day- to- day operations and strategic decisions. Anat holds a doctoral degree in biochemistry from Tel Aviv University and carried out research and published scientific papers in the fields of Cellular Biology and Immunology during her post-doctoral training at the renowned Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.

Adv. Ophir Shahaf

Adv. Shahaf was appointed to the position of Managing Director of Hadasit Bio-Holdings Ltd. - the publicly traded subsidiary of Hadasit, upon its IPO – in January 2006. He was promoted to the position of CEO in March, 2007. Mr. Shahaf is responsible for all of the ongoing activities of the public entity, including financial, legal, IR/PR, investment and fundraising issues. Prior to this position, he served as VP business development at Protalix Biotherapeutics Ltd., a biopharmaceutical company focusing on the expression of human recombinant proteins in plant cell cultures. Adv. Shahaf was a part of the founding and management team of Clal Biotechnology Industries Ltd. – Israel's largest corporate investor in the life sciences, where he served as VP and general counsel, and participated in the management and investment of over $ 100 M. Adv. Shahaf received his law degree from Tel Aviv University, and his MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, with a major in finance and international business. He teaches several courses in biotechnology entrepreneurship and management and is a fellow of the Merage Foundation at Irvine, CA. Mr. Shahaf is a father of 3 and resides in Tel-Aviv.
