Dr. Ruth Ben Yakar, Ph.D.

Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Ben Yakar brings 12 years of experience in several senior positions in the biotech industry. Dr. Ben Yakar was formerly the Chief Business Officer of Yeda, the technology transfer company of the Weizmann Institute of Science. Prior to that she served as Vice President at the leading Israeli cell therapy company, Gamida-Cell where she led a phase II/III global pivotal clinical trial project under a joint venture with Teva. Prior to that, she served as Vice President at Procognia, where she led diverse development activities and was actively involved in leading the company to an IPO. Her previous position was at Quark Biotech, leading successful discovery projects. Dr. Ben-Yakar was awarded a Ph.D. Cum Laude from the Weizmann Institute of Science for which she won several prestigious awards.

Dr. Abraham Nimrod, Ph.D.

Vice President Development
Dr. Nimrod formerly headed the Preclinical Department at Bio-Technology General. Prior to that, Dr. Nimrod served as the Director of Toxicology at Pharmos Corp. Both companies are located in Israel. He earned his Ph. D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.

Dr. Arnon Aharon, M.D.

Medical Director
Dr. Aharon was formerly the VP Development of Pharmos Ltd., Israel. Prior to that, Dr. Aharon served as a clinical team leader at Medical Enterprises Ltd., Israel. He earned his MD at Sackler School of Medicine, Tel- Aviv University, Israel and completed his Internship in internal medicine at Soraski Medical Center, Tel- Aviv Israel.

Dr. Itschak Lamensdorf, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Lamensdorf was formerly the CEO and Founder of PharmaSense Ltd., a biotechnological company that specialized in the treatment of central nervous system disorders. Dr. Lamensdorf conducted postdoctoral research in the US at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as in Israel at the Weizmann Institute of Science’s Molecular Genetics Department. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion – Israel’s Institute of Technology, in Haifa, after earning his B.A. and M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Prof. Ronen Leker, M.D.

Clinical Advisor
Prof. Leker heads the Clinical Stroke Service and the Cerebrovascular Disease Research Laboratory at the Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, and is also serving as the acting Senior Staff Neurologist at Hadassah. Dr. Leker has been actively involved in clinical and basic stroke research for the last fifteen years both at Hadassah and at the US National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke – National Institute of Health (NINDS-NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as a staff scientist at the Molecular Biology Laboratory and worked on the use of neural stem cells as a novel therapy for stroke.
